3.1. Installing from Floppies

Apart from the problem mentioned above, nothing special has to be done while installing Linux from floppies. The "bare" IDE kernel works fine. Alternatively a kernel with support for the Adaptec AHA152x SCSI controller can be used. One must remember to add the "no-hlt" (without the double quotes) option when the Slackware setup program asks for options to be added to the LILO command line.
